Helpful tips

What is pre-skiing and what is it for?

What is pre-skiing and what is it for?
Skiing is a fascinating sport, a mix of grace, power and endurance. Like all mountain sports, it requires good physical fitness to avoid muscular or joint discomfort or accidents.

Pre-skiing is recommended because it involves a series of exercises that help improve muscle tone and prepare the cardiovascular system properly.

We often underestimate the importance of specific preparation, because we may already be exercising, but often the sport we practice does not specifically work on the limbs and muscles actively involved in skiing.

Good training dedicated to endurance, strength and stability of the ankles, knees and pelvis will help you avoid unpleasant accidents. Ideally, training should begin about two months before the winter season. Happy skiing to all.

Individual lesson

The private lesson is more suitable, as the teacher pays more attention to the student, thus creating a relationship of trust that helps to optimize teaching and reduce learning time.

Group lesson

For each pupil, but especially for children, the group lesson is recommended, as it can put the little skier in a group spirit and playfulness to which he or she is often already accustomed. Contact with other children allows for the creation of group dynamics that are important from the point of view of socialization, but also of mutual confrontation that help to better overcome the hesitations that the new environment inevitably creates.

Skiing helps children and offers benefits, as the search for balance and the feeling of sliding helps them develop neuro-motor coordination and agility.

The helmet

It is an element that first and foremost offers a great guarantee of safety, in addition to being compulsory until the age of 18, for both skiing and snowboarding, and is mandatory in parks. It is important that it is not too big or too tight; if you are thinking of buying one, there are adjustable models that allow it to fit perfectly.
